My Vision for Cache County

 1. Better Together!

Government is a team sport. We’re all on the same Cache County team, and our roles should complement—not compete—with each other. Trust and communication are the keys to moving forward. For the past five years, Cache County has been weighed down by political strife. As your Chief Deputy County Executive, I’ve lived through it, worked through it, and seen firsthand the damage it’s caused. I’m the only candidate who knows these struggles up close and who has the experience, skills, and willingness to help heal them.

As County Executive, I will:

* Serve Council Members and support the Council in achieving their policy goals and objectives.

* Grow and strengthen trust and relationships with Council members and elected officials.
* Keep communication open, honest, and ongoing—so we solve problems together.
* Build clear feedback loops between the Council and Departments, making sure policies, ordinances, and budgets are informed by real impacts.

Together, we can heal, grow, and achieve great things for Cache County.

2. Fiscal Discipline

Smart Budgets. Careful Spending. Total Transparency.

Cache County deserves limited government with a disciplined budget. Every proposal should be measured against proven state and national standards—while keeping the unique needs of Cache Valley in mind. Council members deserve complete, high-quality analysis so they can make the best budget decisions for our community.

Budgets are just the plan—discipline comes in how we actually spend. Working with the Council, Auditor, and Department heads, we'll strengthen reporting and safeguards along the way, making sure expenditures stay on track. That means clarifying key fiscal policies and providing regular, detailed reports so everyone knows exactly where the money is going.

True transparency means easy access. I’ll work to ensure expenditure reports and budget updates are not only given to the Council but also posted publicly—on county websites and social media—so citizens can see clearly how their tax dollars are spent.

3. Wise Economic Growth

Planning for the Future—Protecting Our Way of Life.

Cache County is growing, and we must guide that growth wisely. Smart economic development means investing in projects that shape our future while keeping control of how growth happens—the Cache County way.

As technology changes, we need to prepare our businesses and industries for the future while protecting the culture, values, and lifestyle that make Cache Valley special. Growth should strengthen our community—not change who we are.

4. Housing Crisis: Accessibility & Affordability

Keeping Families in Cache Valley.

Young and growing families need a place to call home here in Cache Valley. But affordability won’t happen unless we work together—with state leaders, local builders, and even banks—to find real solutions.

Right now, the market doesn’t incentivize builders to create enough affordable options. As County Executive, I’ll help bring the right people to the table to push for policies and partnerships that make housing more accessible and affordable—so families can stay and thrive in Cache Valley.

5. Assure Public Safety

Protecting Cache County Families.

The first duty of county government is keeping people safe. Public safety drives everything we do—from the Sheriff’s Office and Fire District to Emergency Services, Search & Rescue, Public Works, and even how we review development projects and special events.

Safety also depends on strong teamwork. Strengthening collaboration between the Sheriff’s Office, the County Attorney’s Victim Services Division, and the Bear River Health Department will help keep our families and communities safe.

I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
